Discover a hidden treasure: Alberta Genealogical Society (AGS) has been active in Alberta since 1973. As an AGS volunteer and her own family’s historian, Lynne is eager to teach you how to find answers to some of the questions you have about your family history. Were your family settlers, immigrants, First Nations, Inuit or Metis? The answers to the questions we all wish we had asked our parents and grandparents are available. You just need to know where to look. Lynne will use various tools such as AGS on-line databases, AGS library, on-line free databases and paid subscriptions like MyHeritage. She will demonstrate what is available in Edmonton and elsewhere and how to find where family were born, lived, worked and died, and the details of Canadian military service.
