Biography

Sara Hengst is the Provincial Business Development Manager for Chartwell retirement residences. She has a rich history in leading volunteer and fund development initiatives for a variety of non -profit groups in Alberta. Her 30+ years as a leader in the community and her compassion for seniors led her to a career in the senior housing industry, where she has received national awards for excellence. Tara holds an undergraduate degree from Mount Royal University, a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management from McMaster University, her CPCA (Certified Professional Consultant on Aging), and she is currently seeking certification in Gerontology. She specializes in community education for older adults and adult children caring for their aging parents or loved ones. She brings an expert level of communication with seniors and their families to help them navigate the complexities of today’s senior living options.
