Ciara will share who pollinators are, what they do, and why it’s important for humans to step in and help to protect them and the habitats on which they rely. She will also discuss practical steps everyone can take to help local pollinators in their life-preserving task. (Handouts included.)
Ciara is a Conservation Coordinator with the Edmonton and Area Land Trust and has been with the organization for 3 years. Her education background is a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the King’s University, with a focus in Biology. She is passionate about nature, and loves anything that involves being outside, especially during the winter. This enthusiasm includes helping to teach others various things they may not know about the natural world we come from in order to help foster a sense of connection to the world around us.
